McDermott Will & Emery welcomes you Hôtel de Livry
The transformation of the Hôtel de Livry (Paris 7 e district) and client reception centre for McDermott Will & Emery France is the fourth collaboration in 10 years between the prestigious American law firm and CHAMBERS Architects.
The project, for which work is now under way, is a direct expression of today’s sustainable convictions: urban sobriety with reinvestment in a 17th century building, listed as a historic monument, and architectural and construction sobriety. The image of excellence emerges from the relationship between the uncluttered majesty of the spaces, already restored in 2010, and the extremely measured fittings, underpinned by the precision of the design and the durability of the materials: glass, marble, metal etc. The visitor's route, passing through the wrought iron gate on the street, then onto the staircase before discovering the reception hall, is in itself a magnificent introduction to this statement.
Chambers is working with heritage architect Regis Grima on this project.
