A Campus for WPP

WPP is a global advertising and communications giant with over 100,000 employees in 3,000 offices worldwide. Its new Paris campus, the former Lagardère headquarters in Levallois-Perret, brings together all its French entities, i.e. some fifteen agencies. The 25,000 m² (269,097.76 ft²), was designed by architects from the British firm BDG architecture + design, itself a subsidiary of WPP. They contacted CHAMBERS Architects for two additional assignments. This was the first time that BDG had been involved in the design phase and in discussions with the owner's project management team. This was because it was carrying out a renovation/restructuring of the building as part of the signing of the BEFA contract. Chambers was able to make a major contribution, “in a real project dialogue with BDG”, emphasises Hassiba Nakib, Project Director. The agency also demonstrated its mastery of French regulations - a skill much appreciated by its English-speaking partners. A second assignment, following a successful tender, now consists of local operational management, development of the PRO phase and monitoring of the works in the coming weeks. Chambers Architects took just a month to study the ten Paris locations of Dija, which has just arrived in the capital and is preparing to move to Lyon. Just because a dark store is invisible to the public doesn't mean it doesn't deserve perfection! With Dija it does.
