CHAMBERS architects has recently delivered the new French headquarters of the Australian investment bank, Macquarie Group. The 1.700m² location benefits from an exceptional Parisian address with views directly onto the Rond-point des Champs-Elysées. Of course, this extraordinary view is staged immediately from the lift lobby arrival and « the porch », the signature client lounge characteristic of all Macquarie locations around the globe. This singular space exemplifies the careful consideration to the quality of client experience that is so important for the group. And here, surprise, the ceiling has been opened to reveal the structure and technical installations, usually so carefully concealed : an architectural happening in black and white, expression of the Chambers architects concept: « High contrast, high confidence ».
