Pinsent Masons has established its Paris office in a unique location linked to the city’s history and to one of the key figures of the Haussmann era: the photographer Nadar. The apartment and the double-height, glass-enclosed studio where he once lived on the Grands Boulevards exude a very strong personality all on their own. The project by Chambers Architects sought to anchor the prestigious law firm’s Paris headquarters within this distinctive setting—which was the driving force behind their choice of location—while unambiguously affirming the international values that the firm embodies.

Much like the London headquarters—though in a very different setting—the reception area immediately sets the tone for a high-end environment that encourages versatile, open-concept use. This spacious, cozy, and multifunctional space is shared by visitors and employees alike, catering to a variety of occasions and activities: receptions, morning coffee, post-seminar gatherings, or cocktail parties… This same atmosphere of contemporary comfort—which conveys confidence and competence—is reflected in the workspaces, whether designed for focus or collaboration. Meeting rooms, individual and shared offices, and ancillary spaces all feature a refined harmony of deep, warm reds that contrast with light-colored surfaces (wood veneer, stretched fabric, painted walls) and are bathed in natural light.
